About Nicola
I’m Nic and I am a newborn baby, maternity and family photographer based in Bexleyheath, Kent. I have been photographing my gorgeous families since 2010 and I am incredibly blessed to call this my job.
I love natural light and believe it’s the best way to capture the beauty and details of your precious newborn baby. To make you feel as secure and comfortable as possible, I bring my photography studio to your home. It means we can capture those amazing first days of your baby’s life in your own environment. I adore photographing your most treasured moments and I consider it a huge privilege to be asked to be part of the first few weeks if your baby’s life.
My maternity & family shoots are captured in some of the most beautiful locations such as the lavender fields, bluebell woods or any outdoor space that is special to your family.
My style of photography is natural, elegant and timeless. I use natural light to accentuate natural beauty. I adore people and my passion to capture the heart of your family can be seen in all my images. I understand what an honour it is to help you record these moments in your life and I will help you feel relaxed so you come away feeling like you have had a personal experience.

How old should my baby be for their newborn shoot?
The best time to photograph your newborn is between 7 and 10 days from birth, and ideally before the first 2 to 3 weeks.
How long will my newborn session last?
They are normally between 3 and 4 hours as it’s completely baby-led and I don’t put time restrictions on my sessions. As I am in your home, you will have everything your baby needs to hand throughout the session.
How far in advance do I need to book my shoot?
For newborn shoots, I advise you to try and book just after your 20 week scan. If you are looking for weekend availability, then it’s best to book further in advance than if you need a weekday.
Do I need to buy anything for the session?
No, I have all the blankets and throws we need for the shoot.
What shall I wear for my family sessions?
It’s your photoshoot so its important for you to feel comfortable. I do recommend you try and stick to white or very neutral colours, and try to avoid patterns and large logos.
How many images do I receive?
It all depends on the package you purchase. Please see my packages section for more information.
How long will it take to receive my final images?
You will receive your images 3 to 4 weeks after having your photoshoot.
If I cancel my session, will I get my deposit back?
Unfortunately, not. However, if you need to cancel the shoot with at least 7 days’ notice, we can reschedule for a suitable date.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my session?
Whilst I can shoot in all weather situations except constant rain, if we cannot go ahead, your session will be rescheduled at the earliest opportunity.
